In the event that the Event course is, in the opinion of the event organisers, unsafe (e.g. heavy rain, high winds, bushfires, "acts of god" etc), or at the direction of the Gold Coast City Council, the Qld Department of Health or in accordance with any Queensland Government directives, or any other relevant authority, organisers may be required to postpone or cancel the event.

Every attempt will be made to reschedule. Should a participant be unable to make the rescheduled date or no suitable date be available (due to venue unavailability, clashes with other events, landowner changes, etc); then all participants shall automatically be re-allocated refunded 50% of their entry.

The Venue

Venue

The event shall be based at the Broadwater Parklands. The race precinct is located immediately behind the Aquatic Centre on the eastern side of the precinct, just north of Catalina Café.

Parking

Off-street parking is available. Please note; the area is metered until 6pm.

As with all Trail Trips events, we ask that participants car pool where possible.

Facilities

There are on-site toilet facilities.

Note; the Aquatic Centre and Café Catalina will be open during the event and the footpath we use will remain open to the general public, so please be mindful of your movements before, during and after your run.

Event Village

Please feel free to bring camp chairs, bean bags, picnic rugs and shade etc. (including club tents – note they must be secure buyt no pegging is permitted, so please bring weights/sandbags), so you can enjoy the festivities and cheer your teammates raucously.

Food trucks and a bar will be operating throughout the evening. Proceeds from the bar support Epilepsy Qld so we encourage you to bring water, but please purchase beers and soft drinks from the bar!
